You've got mail!

One of my all time favorite planters is my vintage mailbox attached to the front of my garage.   For the photo opp I just used cut flowers from my yard.  My tried and true best summer annual for the hot Kansas summer in this planter is ivy geraniums.  Don't forget to put in about a teaspoon full of soil moist and use a light weight quality potting soil like fertilome.

For shade love the color of these salmon impatiens!!

  1. Oh, how clever. I have an old mailbox that may need to be upcycled like that.

    1. Thanks for the compliment, you are the first person to comment on one of my posts since I started blogging!! I have used this as a planter for about 4 years and have tried lots of different annuals, I have had success with both lantana and ivy geraniums.
