My newest favorite side dish! Potato planks. I love grilling, and the only think I love more is being able to grill all or almost all of the meal.
A couple of weeks ago, we crashed my sister-in-laws late for a beer. She (and her husband) were the hostess with the most-est, and fixed us potato planks. I was immediately hooked. These are now my favorite.
The ingredients, potatoes, olive oil, Montreal steak seasoning, toppings--cheese, green onions, bacon bits.....
I slice the potatoes pretty thick, bout a fourth of an inch. Place them in a bowl with a splash of olive oil and several dashes of the steak seasoning, mix them around to get good and coated. Then, I place them on the grill, flip about 7-10 minutes in. When they are almost burnt, is when I think they are the best.
Then wait another 7-10 minutes, and then top them. They are finished when the cheese melts.
Try them, you will be hooked too!
Happy Cooking
